RCA WSP150 Wireless Speakers

RCA WSP150 Wireless SpeakersBudget conscious shoppers that are looking for a lower priced wireless speaker solution but still get decent sound may find just what they are looking for with the RCA WSP150 wireless speakers. The small stature of these speakers makes them perfect for use on a bookshelf or pretty much anywhere you choose around your home. They are about nine inches high, three inches deep, and a little over five inches wide and housed in black plastic. Within the small package you get four watts of total power in the system, or two watts per speaker.

Each of the two speakers can be battery powered or plugged into a wall outlet. There is a battery compartment on the back of the speaker where you can load four D-cell batteries. Keep the battery compartment location in mind if you decide to wall mount these speakers and use battery power. The volume, tone, and bass boost controls are located directly on the speaker making it convenient to carry them around especially if you are using the batteries. You can certainly use these speakers outside but they should not be left out because they are not designed to be weather resistant.

The RCA WSP150 wireless speakers operate in the 900 MHZ band and are rated for a maximum range of 150 feet, although your mileage vary. You can connect the transmitter for the speakers to pretty much any audio source using either a headphone jack or RCA cables. The system also includes an automatic power off feature to save on battery life.

If you are looking for something that makes you feel that you are sitting in a concert hall than these speakers are not for you. With four watts of power you should not be expecting anything like that. However, the sound quality for these speakers at this price level is fine and would work well for having background music playing as you relax or work around the house.
