Sony SRS BTM30 Bluetooth Wireless Speaker System

Sony SRS BTM30 Bluetooth Wireless SpeakersThe Sony SRS BTM30 wireless speaker system is perfect for the person on the go that wants a little more sound quality than their laptop or phone might give them. This system is perfect for slipping in your bag to take on a trip, hooking up to your computer wirelessly in a dorm room, or just for personal use wherever you go. Any bluetooth enabled device that is capable of using A2DP or AVRCP Bluetooth profiles (which should cover most devices) can link up with these speakers. This includes devices like your mobile phone, MP3 player, or laptop.

The SRS BTM30 wireless speaker system is about 11 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches deep, and 4 1/2 inches high so it is small enough to carry around in your bag. It can be powered by an AC adapter or using 3 AA batteries. The typical usage would probably call for batteries unless you were just using them as wireless speakers on your desk to cut down on clutter. The batteries will give you around ten hours of play depending on the volume level. There are two 2″ speakers inside the enclosure for the system, each producing 3 watts of power. The enclosure itself features the standard silver and black styling you often see and it can be stood on its side or horizontally. There is an available analog input on the enclosure in case you want to connect your device directly to it without using Bluetooth. The standard volume and power controls are also located on the speakers.

You generally will be using these speakers in close proximity to your audio device because the range of the Bluetooth 2.0 technology they use peaks out at most around thirty feet. As with all Bluetooth devices you’ll need to pair the speakers with your audio device first. This step can be a little awkward because you have to actually turn the speakers off and hold down the “ID Set” button to get them into pairing mode. Once you realize they need to be off first everything works as you would expect if you’ve ever paired up a Bluetooth device. You can pair these speakers with up to eight audio sources.

The speakers tend to get a little distorted if you try to really crank up to high volume levels, but if you are looking for a small set of speakers that you can use personally without dealing with a jumble of wires then you will want to take a look at the Sony SRS BTM30 Wireless Speaker System.
